Christmas Pix

Playing with Matthew's new train.

Nannie made this cute little apron for Olivia. She really likes Dora, so this was perfect.

Uncle Andrew Olson dressed up as one of the 3 Wise Men for our Christmas Eve manger scene pageant.

Daddy dressed up as one crazy wise man.

Nanny and Grandpa sharing a story with the kids.

cute Matthew in Grandpa's Santa hat.

Grandpa and Matthew

This is one happy Grandma--we must have just cleaned up the kitchen in this picture. :)

Olivia in her fort made from an overturned card table. Olivia and Matthew sure liked it.

Grandma playing eentsy weentsy spider or another such game with Matthew.

Nannie and Matthew looking at all the snow. We got almost 3 feet in Longview this year. The most we have ever seen! It's a wonder we were able to make it there and back relatively on schedule.

One happy girl on her way out to play in the snow with Daddy.

Olivia with Grandma and Grandpa.

Olivia's favorite thing to do at home is dress up. What with the limited luggage space, we certainly couldn't accomodate her dressup needs on this trip, so Olivia made do with Grandma's sweatshirt, and even one of Uncle Grant's old shirts, I believe.

Olivia and Matthew with their Christmas presents: Olivia got a Dora bike and Matthew got a little train he can ride around the house. I think Olivia rides it more than he does. Maybe we should have gotten Olivia the train instead.

Big Day of Firsts

Happy Daddy

This was Olivia's first day of Sunbeams and Matthew's first day of nursery. Here is Olivia with the princess crown she got in sharing time. The theme of the month is "I am a spirit child of Heavenly Father." Incidentally I got to teach her first sharing time. I thought that was pretty cool. She didn't do too bad her first day. During opening exercises, which take place after sharing and singing time for junior primary, she did have a little too much fun wandering around and had to be escorted over and over again to her chair, but she'll get it soon enough.

Our cute little primary kids. I admit I was a little concerned that Matthew wouldn't stay in nursery after Brent and I left, but he did fantastic today, and the nursery leaders said that he had no problems. So that was great. We're really hoping this continues.

It's the big day.
